Villeto Marie (Beard) Wright, 85 passed away peacefully on Monday, September 10, 2018 into the arms of Jesus at Williamsport Retirement Village.
Born in State Line, PA on January 20, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Beard and Margaret Burger Beard. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Genevieve Reeves and Mildred Reynolds.
She was a homemaker and was a member of First Brethren Church on Antietam Street. She loved to travel, garden and enjoyed cooking and canning.
She is survived by her son, Michael E. Barnes, with whom she resided for the past 20 years. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Harman Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac Street, Hagerstown, MD. Per her request, there will be no viewing. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home one hour prior to the service. Interment to immediately follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
Her family requests that there be no flowers but that memorial contributions be sent to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown MD 21742 or to the Community Free Clinic at 249 Mill Street, Hagerstown MD. 21740
