Obituary for Burnest Marcellus Ball

Burnest (Stuff) Marcellus Ball, Jr., age 66 years old, of Hagerstown, Maryland passed away on July 24, 2021, from complications associated with heart failure.
A graveside burial ceremony was scheduled on Thursday July 29, 2021, at the Pleasant Valley Memorial Park in Annandale Virginia. He will be laid to rest next to his Mother Mary and Brother Ollie. Pastor Ron Talbert will be officiating. This ceremony is private for immediate family and friends.
Burnest was born in Northumberland County (Wicomico Church) Virginia on July 20th, 1955. He attended the elementary public schools of Northumberland County Virginia and Junior and Senior High Schools of Prince Georges County Maryland.
Burnest, early in his work career, worked many years in the Medical Records Department at the Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring Maryland. He worked many years as a merchandiser assistant at Bloomingdale’s Department Store located in White Flint Maryland and Tysons Corners Virginia. Burnest was a self-taught musician with guitar as his favorite instrument. He worked with several local band groups and played solo in recent years.
Burnest greatest occupation was making his immediate family happy. He was a masculine Mama’s boy all his life and he stayed close to his brothers right up to his last moments. He lived for family and close friends, giving his time and energy, with little concern for himself on many occasions.
Burnest is survived by his elder Brother Hubbard Caster, Jr. of Hagerstown Maryland, Nieces Angelic Henderson Smith of Chesterfield Virginia and Candance Henderson Alford of Chesterfield Virginia plus several grand nieces and nephews.
Burnest is preceded in death by His parents, Burnest Herbert and Mary Adeline Norris Ball, Sister Veola Ball Henderson, Brother Ollie Norris Ball, Paternal Grandparents William and Addie Wiggins Ball of Wicomico Church (Boggy Neck) Virginia and Maternal Grandparents Ollie and Veola Young Norris of Washington, DC.
